Always Forever

I need to stop looking at our old conversations.

I need to stop thinking of you.

I need to not miss you.

I need to not want things the way they were.

We never fought, we never argued, we were always talking.

Something changed. I don’t know what it was, why it was, or how it was.

But it changed. And now we barely speak. 

And when we do. It’s short.

It’s disconnected.

It’s not the real us.

I miss when you couldn’t wait to see me.

Or how you would sneak out of your family reunion to call me if only for a little.

Or when your family heard you talking to me and started to tease you about it,

And you didn’t care at all cause they didn’t know me like you did.

I actually miss you. I miss your everything. 

I miss all the cute conversations we had.

Something has changed in you. I have pictured of you from the beginning and you’re different.

You were happier then. Was it something I did? or I said?

I always thought I was above begging. But I’m begging for you to come back.

The old you, the real you, the you that loved to love me.
